Attorney Kathryn M. Williams, “Kate,” is a Cleveland native. An alum of Solon High School, she received her Bachelor of Arts from John Carroll University in 2004, where she graduated cum laude. Kate studied law at the University of Dayton School of Law and earned her Juris Doctor in 2007.

Kate began her legal career as an assistant prosecuting attorney, where she represented the State of Ohio on behalf of victims of crime. In 2011, she turned her focus to estate planning and elder law and found her passion. Kate helps clients solve complex problems in estate planning, Medicaid planning, asset protection, trust planning, special needs planning, and estates.

Kate loves to work with families. She enjoys connecting with people and works to ensure that her clients maintain dignity through the process of aging. With this premise at heart, she founded and grew her successful practice in Solon and services clients locally in North East Ohio and throughout the State.

Kate is licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. She is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for Veteran’s Claims.

Kate has three children, enjoys running, cooking, painting, taking her family to Disney World, and home improvement projects. She is a breast cancer survivor and a women’s health advocate. She is an ambassador for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and has been previously for the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.

Becky Utterback is a Solon native and long time dear friend to Kate. A fellow alum of Solon High School and graduate of Kent State University, Becky spent the early part of her career in marketing and business relations for Stern Advertising and the American Greetings Company. She joined Kate at her office in Solon in 2017.

Becky enjoys helping families find solutions to difficult problems. Her steady demeanor, professional approach, and natural sense of organization are the backbone to Kate Williams Law.

Becky has two children, is instrumental in the Solon PTA, and is passionate about the quality of the education here in Solon. Her views with how children and people deserve to be valued are embodied by her work serving the clients of Kate Williams Law.

Breast Cancer Research Advocacy

Kate was honored to appear with her daughters Madeline and Penny Lane as a part of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s national campaign.

Kate’s experience with a life threatening disease in her thirties fueled her passion for research and patient advocacy. She always finds time to advocate for the advancement of research for future treatments and therapies and is involved with BCRF.org.
